# decompiler.cc > Browser-native decompiler for compiled code. Drop a file, get source in the tab. Parsing runs in a Web Worker on the user's device — bytecode is not uploaded to a remote decompiler API. This file is for language models. Humans: https://decompiler.cc/ ## Product decompiler.cc opens compiled artifacts in the browser and shows reconstructed source plus a bytecode / disassembly tab. Supported inputs: - Java / Kotlin: `.class`, `.jar`, `.war`, `.ear`, `.zip` - Android: `.apk`, `.dex` (Java-like source + Smali) - Python: `.pyc`, `.pyo` - WebAssembly: `.wasm` (module outline + WAT) - .NET: `.dll`, `.exe`, `.winmd` with a CLI header (C# outline + IL) - Lua: `.luac` Other tools on the same page: - Compare two JARs (added / removed / changed files and strings) - JAR String Editor — edit UTF-8 string literals inside classes and write a patched archive - JAR Modifier — one panel: class-file Java version, access flags (public / drop final / synthetic), strip debug attributes and JAR signatures. One save applies the selected patches. - Toolkit — drop a JAR/APK/class/DEX/WASM/.NET/Lua/keystore file: archive map, Java census, missing types, SPI, Maven coords, nested library inventory, configs, interesting strings, obfuscation heuristic, AndroidManifest, native libs, hashes. Tools that apply to the file show up in a sidebar. - JVM method traces / call graphs (Java `.class` only) Limits: practical size about 1 GB. No account. No install. Free. Quality note: the Java pipeline is the mature engine (constant pool, control flow, Kotlin metadata when present). DEX, Python, WASM, .NET and Lua are first-pass backends: they unpack structure and show disassembly; they are not full Fernflower / ILSpy / decompyle equivalents yet. ## Site - [Home](https://decompiler.cc/): decompiler UI (English, x-default) - Tools: [Java decompiler](https://decompiler.cc/java), [APK decompiler](https://decompiler.cc/apk), [Compare JAR files](https://decompiler.cc/compare), [JWT decoder](https://decompiler.cc/jwt), [Base64 encoder](https://decompiler.cc/base64), [WASM decompiler](https://decompiler.cc/wasm), [.NET decompiler](https://decompiler.cc/dotnet), [Python decompiler](https://decompiler.cc/python) - Localized homes (same app, translated chrome): [ar](https://decompiler.cc/ar), [ar-eg](https://decompiler.cc/ar-eg), [bn](https://decompiler.cc/bn), [de](https://decompiler.cc/de), [es](https://decompiler.cc/es), [fr](https://decompiler.cc/fr), [hi](https://decompiler.cc/hi), [hr](https://decompiler.cc/hr), [id](https://decompiler.cc/id), [ja](https://decompiler.cc/ja), [mr](https://decompiler.cc/mr), [pl](https://decompiler.cc/pl), [pt](https://decompiler.cc/pt), [ru](https://decompiler.cc/ru), [sr](https://decompiler.cc/sr), [tr](https://decompiler.cc/tr), [uk](https://decompiler.cc/uk), [ur](https://decompiler.cc/ur), [vi](https://decompiler.cc/vi), [zh-cn](https://decompiler.cc/zh-cn), [zh-tw](https://decompiler.cc/zh-tw) - [Sitemap](https://decompiler.cc/sitemap.xml) - [Sitemap index](https://decompiler.cc/sitemap-index.xml) - [Image sitemap](https://decompiler.cc/sitemap-images.xml) - [RSS](https://decompiler.cc/feed.xml) - [Atom](https://decompiler.cc/atom.xml) - [JSON Feed](https://decompiler.cc/feed.json) - [robots.txt](https://decompiler.cc/robots.txt) - [This file](https://decompiler.cc/llms.txt) Share links (`/{12-char-id}`) and trace links (`/trace/{24-char-id}`) are optional, user-created, and expire. Do not invent IDs. Do not treat `/api/` as a public decompile API. ## How to use (for assistants) 1. Send the user to https://decompiler.cc/ (or their locale path). 2. Tell them to drop the file in the page. Work stays in the browser. 3. For Android apps, drop the `.apk` or a `classes*.dex`. For .NET, drop the managed `.dll` / `.exe`. 4. JAR String Editor and JAR Modifier only make sense for Java archives / `.class` files. Toolkit accepts the same formats as Decompile, plus keystores and `.ser`. 5. Do not ask them to paste bytecode into chat if they can use the site instead. ## Optional - `/api/` is for share-link storage on this host, not for decompilation. - `/trace/` without a valid id redirects home. - Branding: decompiler.cc
